Product Description
BW Papersystems Roll Stands provide the performance and features for more efficient wet end operations. Fast arm movements and simple operator controls facilitate rapid roll changes. The MRC 4 Roll Stand is a robust, reliable, high-value and low maintenance Roll Stand. Special variations such as ‘split-roll’ or narrow web types are available. An automatic roll load version ARC5 is also available.

Product Features
Quick roll loading and unloading
Fast arms movements and intuitive operator controls make roll loading and unloading a simple and quick process. Optional core ejection devices assist the operator to remove butt rolls or cores without manual intervention.
Disc brakes and high-speed low friction spindles
Pneumatic disc brakes interfaced to the Splicer for excellent web tension control. Low drag spindles rated at 670mpm/2200fpm assist the running of very small butt rolls.
Small diameter roll pickup capability
Roll diameters as low as 305mm/12” can be chucked up without complicated roll pusher devices. Allows operators to use all paper reels at their disposal and avoid unnecessary paper waste.
Integrated controls platform
The controls platform monitors and controls every action of the MRC4.
- Sensors that detect chuck rotation, interfaced to a special safety system.
- Interface to the Splicer ensures perfect web tension for all paper reel sizes.
- Interlink to the track and trolly systems for accurate paper reel positioning.
- Low energy consumption by turning off the hydraulic motor when in use.
