Folio-size sheeter type SHM 1400 SRDescription of Improvement
This upgrade is part of the Technical Improvement Program (TIP); it adds a dancer tension control system to the machine.
The tension system consists of an air-loaded pivoted dancer roller with a sensing device to detect the dancer roll position. The signal from the sensor controls the pressure at the brake to maintain a steady tension. Changes to the web tension are made by manually adjusting the pressure to the air cylinders at the dancer arms.
