TIP F 2160 Design Upgrade of Short Belt Section

TIP F 2160 Design upgrade of short belt section

Machine Model for Improvement

All Bielomatik-Jagenberg Sheeters type Synchro 2000 & CutMaster

Description of Improvement

Over time, after intensive daily, around the clock production, the bearings on the shaft for the short belt section wear out causing wear and tear on the shaft.

This upgrade from the Technical Improvement Program (TIP) replaces the current design of the short belt section. The existing design of o-rings for positioning of the bearings and shaft will be replaced by a new design excluding o-rings. The new design includes a new clamp bearing mounted directly on the shaft. This prevents wear and tear on the shaft as well as enabling an easier assembly.

Benefits

  • Spare parts availability and latest technology
  • Prevention of wear and tear of shaft
