A pair of optical sensors picks up and tracks tear-outs from both edges of a single web to open the reject gate for quick disposal. Along with this upgrade, the shingling belts will now stop when the machine is rejecting sheets. This functionality maintains a continuous shingle as the machine resumes from rejecting sheets, minimizing the number of sheets wasted. Upgrade includes sensors, wiring, I/O, brackets, hardware, and updated software, along with any necessary engineering, installation instructions, and document updates.
