TIP C 2010A / 2010B Replacement of obsolete AMK Gear Motor for the paper lifting

TIP C 2010 AB Replacement of obsolete AMK Gear Motor for the paper lifting

Machine Model for Improvement

E.C.H. Will Procut, SLK 460-XL, SLK 470 sheeters, equipped with a gear motor for the paper lifting

Description of Improvement

The existing AMK gear motor (motor + planetary gearbox) is obsolete and no longer available as a spare. The gear motor for the paper lifting is installed at the collecting unit (onto or underneath) of the belts of the infeed into the collecting box.

The gripper pulls the ream out of the collecting box, the AMK paper lifting gear motor gets engaged and follows the gripper at its speed and quickly retracts when the separating finger starts its return cycle. This ensures that the paper clips collected at the separating finger are supported for better ream quality.

TIP C 2010A - For SLK 460 XL type sheeters: A new AMK gear motor will have to be installed replacing the obsolete gear motor. As the gearing ratio of the new AMK gear motor is different, a software modification needs to be made by our BWP electrical Service Engineer. The mechanical installation can be performed by a skilled customer mechanic.

TIP C 2010B - For SLK 470 and Procut Sheeters: The existing AMK motor can be re-used. Only the planetary gearbox will be replaced. No software modification required. The mechanical installation can be performed by a skilled customer mechanic.

Benefits

  • Mechanical one-to-one replacement
  • Eliminates the obsolete AMK motor/gear combination
  • Latest technology and spare parts availability
