Slitter/Scorer Constant Pressure Oil

Upgrade Application

All MarquipWardUnited Model I, II and III Slitter/Scorers with Razorset® (thin-blade) slitting.

Upgrade Description

The entire existing blade lubrication is removed and replaced by the new Constant Pressure Oil System. Replacement items include: New tank (if needed), heavy-duty lubrication pump, level sensor, hydraulic/pneumatic hoses and conduits, quick change wick system, solenoid valves at heads, motor covers, enclosure to house existing sharpener valve pack, circuit breakers, power supply, relays, wires, necessary controls and software.

Upgrade Benefits

The Constant Pressure Oil System improves the accuracy of lubrication application. This can reduce starch build-up on blades, improve slit quality by enhancing grinding wheel performance and reduce the energy required to slit the board.

Reduces System Maintenance

  • One heavy-duty pump is used rather than a small pump for each head for the Bellows system.
  • The pump mounted under the storage tank continuously circulates lubricant. This ensures it is kept at a uniform viscosity and never settles.
  • Each slit head has a solenoid mounted at the head itself that meters the lubricant supplied. This eliminates the need for check valves at the heads. It also eliminates the possibility of lubricant being thrown from the heads as they are being positioned.
  • The Constant Pressure Oil System includes Quick-Change wick holders that make it easy to replace worn or contaminated wicks.
