Our Company Culture
We’re showing what’s possible at the intersection of great business strategy and profound care for people.
As part of the Barry-Wehmiller organization, we’re proud that the solutions we provide help bring many of life’s daily necessities to people across the globe.
But that’s just what we do.
What truly defines us as a business is how we do it, and that’s by fostering a caring, trusting, nurturing organizational culture through which people feel safe to express their ideas and share their gifts and talents.
We understand that most fundamental of human needs: to know that who we are and what we do matter. Through our business, we have the unique opportunity to let our team members know that they do. And when they feel valued and cared for at work, they return home and enjoy better relationships with their loved ones, friends, neighbors and others.
We’re proud to serve our customers, communities and all our stakeholders in that same spirit. The 12,000+ team members throughout all Barry-Wehmiller companies are united around the world by our values statement, the Guiding Principles of Leadership, which shares our unique measure of success: by the way we touch the lives of others.
Our message of creating a better world through business – or what we call Truly Human Leadership – has been the subject of a best-selling book, a documentary, many media outlets and is regularly shared through our multi-media blog. Additionally, many companies and organizations seek us out to share our insights at conferences or for our leadership and culture training and consulting services.
BW Papersystems is an integral part of sharing that message with the world. In addition to hosting customers and leadership classes for BW team members from our global locations, BW Papersystems’ Phillips, Wisconsin (USA) headquarters and its Barry-Wehmiller University Learning Center routinely showcase our company culture to a wide variety of visitors. From CEOs and other business leaders to professors and students from universities such as Loyola, Fordham, Harvard, Tecnológico de Monterrey and more, these special visitors tour our manufacturing facilities and meet with our team members to experience first-hand the unique Barry-Wehmiller culture.
You can learn more about what our culture means to our team members and our customers and read about some of the visitors to our Phillips location through the blog posts below.
