BW Papersystems 2.85m High-Speed Intelligent Corrugator Set for Delivery to Far East Packaging

Upcoming delivery from BW Papersystems Asia! A 2.85m wide doublewall intelligent corrugated board production line with a designed speed of 350 mpm has been completed and passed in-house acceptance tests. It will soon be shipped to Malaysia for delivery to Far East Packaging Group. Signed in June this year, this project will support Far East Packaging to upgrade its board production capacity and quality competitiveness. 

One of the highlights of the project is BW Papersystems new glue machine. It enables stable operation with a consistent glue gap of 6-micron, delivering uniform glue lines and reliable bonding performance. While maintaining high standard physical properties of the boards, it effectively cuts starch consumption and reduces production costs for the customer. 

The glue gap on the new glue machine is precisely controlled by servo motors. In automatic mode, the system adaptively adjusts the gap according to the paper grade and the line speed. The system comes with 6 built-in process recipes. Customers can save custom parameters or choose settings directly from the production management system, catering to flexible production of various flute profiles and material combinations. 

The machine is also equipped with servo-controlled pushrod control for the press roll gap, servo electric glue dam mechanism, automatic positioning of electric glue baffles, curved hot plates on the preheater, and synchronous speed linkage with the doublefacer. It maintains stable glue application and paper running at high speeds, suitable for the customer’s production needs of diversified orders.
