Possible for all PassPort 2 960-7 machines.Description of Improvement
This upgrade is part of the Technical Improvement Program (TIP). The 2-up covers are automatically taken off from the non-stop feeder. Control of doubles and missing covers is integrated. The station can be configured to only emboss the right or the left side in running direction.
Optionally both sides may be embossed.
Blind embossing: The covers are embossed with or without heat. With the blind-embossing it is possible to
emboss raised shape or recessed shape. Blind-embossing is made also 2-up with two identical sets of punch
and die tools. The opto-electronic eye control must be switched of.
Gold embossing: The foil is reel-fed and wound up after gold-embossing. The temperature is monitored by an
electronic temperature control. An opto-electronic eye controls the hot-stamping quality.
