Bowtie Splicers and Sheeter Splicers with a Single Dancer
Description of Improvement
This upgrade is part of the Technical Improvement Program (TIP); the Splicer Auto Thread-Up upgrade adds a series of small, powerful, motors which are pneumatically actuated against the paper on the individual rolls that are used to feed the paper through the machine during thread-up. Along with the nip wheels are the required pans to guide the paper from the splicer head to the dancer.
This upgrade reduces operator intervention through the thread-up process. Includes all necessary engineering, thread up motor and nip assemblies, pans, controls, installation instructions, and manual updates.

- Allows for threading of the splicer from the floor without entering the machine
- Reduces downtime in the event of a web break
- Prevents incorrect paper threading
