TIP C 2221 Replacement of AMK AZ-AW modules with KE-KW series for ream turning station

TIP C 2221 Replacing AMK AZ-AW modules with KE-KW for ream turning station

Machine Model for Improvement

All E.C.H. Will ream turning stations equipped with obsolete AMK AZ-AW drive system

Description of Improvement

The first generation AMK AZ-AW drive series is obsolete.

This upgrade replaces the old AMK AW-AZ modules with the latest AMK KE-KW series drive controller and power supply including new R06 controller cards. Exchanging these obsolete parts greatly improves machine availability as it reduces the risk of unplanned downtime.

In many cases, the existing AMK motors can still be used. For certain sheeters, however, built approximately between 1996 and 1998, the motors also need to be replaced as they are not compatible with the new drive series.

Benefits

  • Minimized risk of unscheduled downtimes due to obsolescence
  • Long term available spare parts
