This upgrade is part of the Technical Improvement Program (TIP); it replaces the existing ream turning conveyor.
The new conveyor has of two separate belts, one belt is fixed speed and the other belt is variable speed. Both belts are driven by SEW gear motors. The variable side uses AB Powerflex 4 frequency drive. The speed adjustment is made by using a remotely mounted speed pot mounted onto the conveyor.
Guides are also included to ensure reams leave the conveyor at the desired fixed line position.
