This upgrade is part of the Technical Improvement Program (TIP); it replaces the gear-type couplings with disk type couplings.
These couplings are located on the line shaft opposite shear side along the cone drives. This upgrade replaces all of these six couplings. Additionally, three shafts going through the cone drives are replaced. The required taperlock bushings are also included.
