This upgrade is part of the Technical Improvement Program (TIP); it converts the existing heavier brake into a light weight brake.
Additionally, the improved sliding mechanism eliminates the need to completely remove the brake by physically lifting it out of way. An included limit switch ensures the brake is properly moved out of the shaft before the roll is allowed to move up or down.
